Why am I seeing Unknown Do Not Delete on my order?



Cloud Cart Connector will fill in unknown_do_not_delete when it receives products with names and no SKUs. With empty shipping methods, Cloud Cart Connector adds shipping as the method. To change these names, create product SKUs.

Unknown Do Not Delete and Shipping

QuickBooks requires that each line item has a name, so our system enters a default value of unknown_do_not_delete when your product lacks an SKU. Each product from your online store should have a SKU. It can contain letters, numbers, spaces, or dashes. If your ordering solution says there is shipping and specifies no method, Cloud Cart Connector enters shipping as the name.

Deleting Unknown Do Not Delete and Shipping

Our system will create the shipping SKU or unknown_do_not_delete, if it does not exist. If you have deleted these SKUs, follow these steps to bring it back:

  1. Login to QuickBooks Online.
  2. On the top right, click the gear > products and services.
  3. Click the gear on the right and select include inactive items: 
  4. Click make active to the right of unknown do not delete. If you see shipping in the list, make it active.
